Rajnath Singh Says India United After Pahalgam Terror Attack, Vows Strong Action

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Indians across religious lines stood united after the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 25 tourists and a local pony-wallah. He stated that the entire country was hurt by the incident but remained strong together.

“The whole country is in pain after what happened. But we are united, no matter which religion we follow,” Rajnath Singh . His comments came as opposition parties and social groups extended support to the government in its fight against terrorism.

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said opposition parties would back any action taken by the government. Sources said the government was pleased with the all-party meeting chaired by Singh, where leaders assured full support.

Government officials said the terrorists expected the attack to create divisions in India. Instead, it brought people together. “The attackers thought there would be communal tension, but Indians united against terrorism,” a senior official said.

A day after the attack, Singh promised a strong response. He said India would track down not only the attackers but also those who planned the attack from behind the scenes.

The Defence Minister called the attack a “napak” (impure) act and vowed to take all necessary steps. The government is now working on a plan to respond firmly to the terror strike.

The attack in Pahalgam shocked the nation, but the strong public and political unity has sent a clear message that India will not be divided by terrorism. The government is determined to punish those responsible and ensure such attacks do not happen again.

With opposition backing and public support, the government is preparing its next steps. The focus is on security measures and preventing future attacks while maintaining national unity.

The Pahalgam incident has shown that terrorism cannot break India’s spirit. Leaders from all sides have come together, proving that the country stands as one against threats to peace and security.
